6 Small/Medium Peppers
1 Lb Ground Beef
1½C Cooked Rice
1 Onion diced
1 Jar Spaghetti or tomato sauce
2 Tsp Garlic Powder
½C Water or beef broth
½ C Grated sharp cheese (optional)
Salt and Pepper to taste
Mix together the raw beef, rice, onion and garlic powder and a ¼C of sauce.
Slice the top off the peppers and scoop out seeds and membrane. If necessary, slice a thin layer off the bottom of the pepper so it stands flat.
Fill each pepper with the beef mixture. Place in a shallow, greased, ovenproof dish adding ½C of water.
Top with sauce (and cheese). Loosely cover with aluminum foil
Bake at 325º for 35-45 minutes until beef is cooked. Add liquid as needed
